About the Awesound partnership
We first started using Awesound in 2018 as our exclusive distribution partner for our “CFP Audio” series.
Our partnership has endured eight years so far. We refresh the content every year.
The “audio review” is an audio-only product, approx 20 hours long, which students use as part of preparation for the professional exam to become a qualified Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
Together, Awesound and CeriFi helps these students succeed [say more] and these professionals go on to help many americans [manage money better].
Over the years, many listeners have thanked us for offering a way to fast-track their learning and help them get prepared to successfully take the exam. Learning while commuting allows students to get extra learning into their week. Most of our students are working full-time, studying for their CFP exam in their spare time.
Since 2018, Awesound has served almost 5,000 of our CFP students.
My view of Mark’s contributions
As the founder and CEO of Awesound, Mark has been my primary point of contact since we discovered the platform in 2018. We originally found Awesound through Google. It was I who led the initial search for a dependable tech partner, and made the decision to partner with Awesound based on its unique set of features and flexibility for our needs. That choice to partner with them has been vindicated by eight years of commercial success and happy students.
I was happy with my choice in 2018. The platform has improved further since. Over the years, I have fed all queries, questions and suggestions to Mark. Mark has re-built and improved parts of the platform, including:
- Made the web experience faster and easier to navigate for students.
- Took feedback from us and our students, to improve navigation and listening experience.
- Worked with us to update the content each year. The CFP Board sets the content for the exam, so most years we wind up re-recording some chapters, and leaving others.
- Added additional integrations to support partner apps.
- Built new tools for us to manage discount coupons for returning students, or “100% off” free-access coupons for students who are entitled to access as part of a package purchased directly from us.
- Acted as the primary point of contact for all student customer support queries.
A few technical details
Today, the latest version of our audio series (published in 2025) is available for purchase via a few channels:
- Directly from Awesound, on awesound.com/daltoneducation
- Directly from our website dalton-education.com/products/cfp-exam-audio-review
- We also sell group access in bulk through various education partners.
No matter how the student buys access, order fulfillment is always handled by the Awesound tech platform. Listeners can listen via the awesound.com website, or via a mobile app that Awesound supports. That is, we depend 100% on Awesound as our sole distribution partner for this audio product.
The content will be updated again (with the “2026” updates) in the next month or two.
In summary
We began our partnership as a transatlantic arrangement, with Mr Moriarty based in Ireland at the time. I am delighted that Mark is happily living in the United States and seeking permanent residence here. His platform Awesound has been immensely valuable to our business over the years, and with AI changing education dramatically, America will benefit from his local presence. Mark’s decision to live in America bodes well for our continued partnership, as he created jobs in America, helps professionals uplevel their career, and lives in the same timezone as our students whom he helps so significantly.
I was not aware of an equivalent platform when I found Awesound, and our collaboration over the years has further solidified Awesound as a critical part of our tech stack, and a key dependency in how Dalton delivers our offering to students.
