Content to submit

To support this RFE, I created seven new files, for the six or seven relevant claims:

Since the original EB-1 application, Mark has added a lot of extra content to the following in particular:

  • A. Critical role (many examples and photos from Stripe),
  • D. Contributions, especially around Awesound and a new Berkeley section
  • E. Prizes and Awards. Let’s definitely go back to the physics competitions I won as a teenager. These were world-class achievements, which we included in the original 2022 O-1 application. They are relevant in the context of “science, innovation and technology”. My role is “Corporate Strategy and Experimental Projects” and it’s correct to say invention, first principles thinking and technology are 100% relevant.
  • F. Judge of peers (this is new in RFE, we didn’t have in original application)
  • G. Major media. TBD if we include this as a new section. Appendix E (Prizes) has several newspaper extracts in the context of national school exams and national and international physics achievements.

Actions for Fragomen as of March 23, 2026

  • Now: Let Mark know if there are any questions on any of the material provided over the past few months via this website eb1.markmoriarty.com
  • Now: draft the RFE to ~95% completion.
  • Now: For Claim D, critical role: provide edits for draft of letter from Kelly-Anne Slatton (CeriFi, talking about Awesound), before we ask her to sign a Fragomen-approved version. (Once Fragomen’s edits are done, before Kelly-Anne actually signs it, we can already quote it in the RFE.)
  • (pending Mark on March 23rd) For Claim A, critical role: provide edits for draft of letter from John Collison, before we ask John to sign. (Once Fragomen’s edits are done, before John actually signs it, we can already quote it in the RFE.)
  • Now: For every section: Review original O-1 application (2022), O-1 RFE response (2022), and O-1 renewal (2025), to see if there are good “exhibits” to include in appendix.
  • Share draft of RFE with Mark for review for accuracy, in case anything got lost in translation
  • Finalize and post it to USCIS!

Overall process / status

As at morning of March 22:

ClaimStatus / commentsWork left to doNext step
Claim A. Critical RoleSome arguments added, including several LinkedIn posts (by other people, tagging Mark Moriarty).🟡 Most ly doneDone: Initial notes for Stripe (Fragomen to review).
Next: Mark to add more Stripe examples.
Claim B. High salaryI don’t think the RFE needs to be much different than original submission. Ideally more emphasis on the total compensation (aka “total comp”), emphasizing the $494k figure, and less emphasis on the “base salary” which is less than half of that ($230k). (See email dated Dec 1, also copied into email Mark sent Feb 18.)🟢 Mark doneMark provided W-2 and latest payslips again by email on March 20, 2026.
Claim C. Membership of orgsI don’t think we’ve new claims of orgs, but I have added extra content to include as proof – for GLG and YCombinator.
I guess we should also make better arguments about why GLG is impressive?
🟢 Mark doneFragomen to react.
Claim D. ContributionsI think the RFE won’t add a ton of new material. Claritics + McKinsey + Awesound points were already good. New points about Awesound (RAD and anlytics) added.
Feels overlapping with Claim A, “Critical role”.
🟡 Most ly doneMark to propose more arguments
Claim E. Prizes and AwardsI’m feeling great about this section. I spent some time digging through the archives of old Irish newspapers (https://irishnewsarchive.com/), and I found plenty examples of me being featured in a national paper for being #1 in Ireland at something🟢 Mark doneFragomen to react.
Claim F. Judge of peersNew section. I’m also feeling great about this section. I think it ticks the box.🟢 Mark doneFragomen to react
Claim G. Published material in major mediaTBD if we include this as a formal claim, or a remark “when weighing up this application holistically, we note that evidence for some other claims already includes material published in major media including national newspapers”🟢 Mark doneFragomen to react
